The Fortis & Friends Foundation (F3) is committed to improving literacy and numeracy outcomes for primary school students in Jamaica through our Primary School Academic Development Lab. This initiative focuses on providing innovative educational resources and professional development for teachers to create an environment where every child can thrive. We believe that by investing in foundational skills, we can empower students to achieve their full potential.
Tarrant Primary School
Our partnership with Tarrant Primary serves as a flagship example of our commitment to educational excellence. Through the Academic Development Lab, we have supplied students and teachers with Learnit “Teachnology“ Solution kits—a suite of tablets, headsets, and power banks preloaded with over 190 Caribbean-centered educational applications. This technology enables hands-on, accelerated learning, even without internet access. In collaboration with Inclusive Schools Caribbean, we also provide ongoing professional development to equip teachers with the skills to support students with diverse learning needs. We are proud of the positive impact this partnership has had on student engagement and academic growth.
Edward Seaga Primary School (Denham Town)
We are thrilled to announce our newly developing partnership with Denham Town Primary. As we expand our Academic Development Lab initiative, we are working closely with the school's leadership to introduce our tablet-based learning solution and provide tailored training for educators. We are excited to collaborate with Denham Town Primary and are confident that this new partnership will help us continue our mission of bridging educational gaps and fostering a new standard for learning in Jamaica.
